The Physiological Effects of Xialla

What the Anchoring Design Does, and what the Evidence Shows

Xialla is a constriction ring designed to treat erectile dysfunction caused by venous leak. It works by reducing blood outflow rather than increasing inflow, which is what distinguishes it from medication, injections, and pumps.

The anchoring design — a loop around the scrotum connected to a band at the lower back — holds the ring in position without relying on tightness. Several further effects follow from that design. They are grouped below by mechanism, with a note on what has and has not been measured.

When the veins draining the penis are not fully compressed during erection, blood escapes as quickly as it arrives.

Xialla's ring slows that outflow mechanically. Because the anchoring loop holds it in position rather than relying on circumferential tightness, it maintains occlusion during movement and can do so at lower compression than a conventional ring.
